How does working with Us work?
Schedule a Consultation
Choosing a midwife is a big deal. This isn’t a haircut — it’s your pregnancy, your birth, and your family.
This page is designed to help you decide
whether we’re a good fit before you book a phone consult.
Start by watching the video below. It will answer most of the big questions upfront and help you decide your next step.
Watch the Consultation Video
Before scheduling a phone consultation, please watch the video on this page in full.
In this video, I walk you through:
- Who I am and my background as a licensed midwife
- My philosophy on pregnancy, birth, and informed choice
- The types of services I provide (and what I don’t)
- My fee structure and payment expectations
- How insurance works with my practice
- My approach to labs, ultrasounds, and medical testing during care
This video is intentionally thorough. My goal is transparency — no surprises later, no sales pressure, and no wasted time for either of us.
If, after watching, you’re thinking “Yes, this feels aligned” — then a phone consult is the right next step.
🤍 Is a Phone Consult Right for You?
A phone consult is appropriate if:
- You’ve watched the video and feel aligned with my approach
- You’re seeking midwifery care with a strong emphasis on autonomy and informed consent
- You understand that pregnancy and birth are physiological processes, not medical emergencies by default
- You’re looking for a provider who values education, responsibility, and partnership
A phone consult may not be the right next step if you’re still unsure about home birth, prefer a highly medicalized model of care, or are primarily price-shopping. (No judgment — just honesty.)
📞 What Happens During the Phone Consult?
The phone consult is a chance for us to:
- Clarify any remaining questions after the video
- Review your pregnancy history and current situation
- Discuss eligibility and scope of care
- Make sure expectations are clear on both sides
It’s a mutual screening conversation to determine whether moving forward makes sense.
➡️ How to Move Forward
